Rudder and Keel alignment

Hi, I have just purchased a 1983 Duetta 86 and have hauled her onto the hard to replace the rudder bearing as the tiller was very stiff. I've noticed that the alignment of the rudder and the keel are different with the rudder sitting at a bit of an angle. Is this normal so that the drive shaft can be removed without dropping the rudder? Can anybody offer some advice?
